I am Chloe Nunn, a recently finished graduate student from the University of Southampton,UK bringing you one of today’s blog posts from the R/V Endeavor! We are currently passing the Carolina’s, having skipped a couple stations due to inclement weather. Hopefully we will be able to start this evening at the next station.

The rougher weather has made getting used to living on a boat slightly more challenging. Showering is definitely a risky business and the small cabin (Figures 1 and 2) provides many opportunities to crash into cupboards and wardrobes. Haven’t injured myself yet though, touch wood.

For rather obvious reasons, especially in choppier weather exercising on a boat can be a little impractical; running especially. But we do have an exercise bike which I braved this morning. It was an interesting experience to say the least!
